Happy Mother's Day!! =] 

This is my first Mom/s Day and being a mother now for 7 months now has really enlightened me to how amazing all you mommies are. Being a mom is a huge deal - it takes daily sacrifice. Most of the time being a mom is amazing, but there are times when it tries your patience. It is truly a selfless responsibility. But the rewards are so worth it. 

At church this morning they asked a group of moms what their biggest struggle was being a mom. 90% of them said that they lacked patience and they wish that they could slow down and respond to their kids with more patience. Then they interviewed these women's children what they thought about their mom. The responses were everything from, my mom is so much fun, she's the best snuggler, she's so unique and that's what I love about her, etc. etc. They had the mommies watch what their kids had to say about them and they were all in tears. The take away from the whole thing was that no one is perfect - everyone has their days and their patience is tested. But regardless of the 'bad days' that they have, they're still doing something right because their kids still feel that their mommies are the greatest.
